Arthur is gone. If you can judge how special a soul is by the amount of tears shed when they move on, then Arthur is beyond measure. He will be in our hearts forever. I can still see him strutting along, gazing into Sue's eyes like it was yesterday.......Sleep softly baby boy
Arthur was enjoying his retirement as a "farm dog". At twelve years of age, he was still runing three miles a day, chasing cats, birds and rabbits and let me know when someone came to the door. He enjoyed cuddling on the couch when I'm reading or watching TV, and sleeps under the covers at night. Arthur was a pleasure to live with - truly a "once in a lifetime" dog!
In his younger years, Arthur was successful in the conformation and obedience rings. He achieved multiple group wins and placements, and several High in Trial scores from Open B. A highlight of his successes include:
1995 - #1 Dalmatian in Novice Obedience in the US 1996 - High Score in the Road Dog Excellent (RDX) A class at the Dalmatian Club of America (DCA) National Specialty 1996 - High in Trial from the Open B class at the DCA National Specialty 1996 - #4 Dalmatian in Obedience in Canada 1997 - #1 Dalmatian and #3 Non-Sporting Dog in Obedience in Canada Awarded a "Conformation Performance Certificate" (CPC) by the DCA for achieving his American Championship (Ch - 1998), Companion Dog Excellent (CDX - 1996) and Road Dog Excellent (RDX - 1996) titles.
